The 140,000sq. ft building is in the heart of the Old Town nestled along the site of the original city wall. The site also includes the Art Nouveau building formerly known as Everards Printing Works, which is planned to become the grand entrance of a new hotel.

The proposed development will be Mixed-Use, including the principle hotel that will have meeting and conference facilities and a food and beverage provision. Other buildings adjacent to the hotel will be regenerated for Commercial and Residential uses. A block of one-bedroom and studio flats will be created along with retail and food outlets creating a substantial amount of additional accommodation and employment opportunities in the city centre. The development plans have been created in partnership with Bristol Architects Alec French, who originally designed Natwest Court.

“We are delighted to have the opportunity to redevelop such a historic area that is currently under-utilised. Bristol is a unique city with a fantastic story to tell and we look forward to bringing this site back to life.” comments Clive Wilding, Property Director of Artisan.

Richard Asherson, Director at Westbrooke Alternative Asset Management UK Limited commented: “as a senior lender alongside Sanlam Life Insurance Limited, Westbrooke is proud to partner with Artisan, and to have the opportunity to work with and be a capital provider to an exceptional management team.”

Plans are very much in the early stages and updates on this exciting project will be communicated as it progresses.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/12″][/vc_column][/vc_row]
